By Fruit Stand Team · August 18, 2026 · Comparisons If you’re evaluating fund and ETF returns data on Snowflake Marketplace, it’s worth knowing what’s actually out there before you buy. We looked at the other fund- and ETF-related listings on the Marketplace to see how they compare to Fund Returns: what each one covers, whether it computes returns at all, which return periods it publishes, how it’s priced, how you get access, and how often the data refreshes.

Snowflake Fund Returns Listing Comparisons

What this actually shows

Most of what’s available for funds and ETFs on Snowflake Marketplace isn’t a standalone returns product. ETF Global covers fund flows (money moving in and out), which is a different question than trailing or calendar year performance. FactSet and Morningstar do compute fund and ETF returns as part of their much broader platforms, so it would be misleading to say they can’t. But neither sells that as a self-serve, flat-fee “fund returns” product the way Fruit Stand does: FactSet’s ETF data is licensed through its own enterprise catalog, and Morningstar’s Snowflake listing found under this search is scoped to equity returns and statistics rather than a dedicated mutual fund/ETF returns product (Managed Investment Data, the category that would cover funds specifically, was announced for later in 2026 and we haven’t seen a public listing for it as of this writing). CRSP (now a Morningstar company as of its February 2026 acquisition) is the closest thing to a direct comparison in spirit: a survivor-bias-free US mutual fund database built specifically around computed returns, the same principle Fruit Stand uses to keep delisted funds’ history intact. Its returns are monthly, though, not broken out across the 16 trailing periods Fruit Stand publishes, and it’s distributed as a subscription product to academic and institutional licensees rather than sold as a flat self-serve Marketplace listing. Nasdaq eVestment and CFRA Research both compute returns too, but for different audiences and scopes: eVestment is built for allocators evaluating hedge funds and alternatives, while CFRA’s ETF data spans a global universe (19,000+ ETFs) with its own STARS ratings layered on top and a genuinely detailed return schema, daily, 1-month, 3-month, YTD, and 1-year trailing returns, annualized 3/5/10-year and since-inception returns, plus discrete year-by-year prior returns going back five years. Where a provider’s specific return periods aren’t publicly documented, those cells are marked “Not published” rather than guessed at.

Where Fruit Stand fits

Fund Returns is built to answer one question well: what has this fund or ETF actually returned. 32,000+ US funds and ETFs, trailing returns across 16 periods from 1-day out to 20-year and since-inception, plus calendar year returns going back to each fund’s own start date. It refreshes incrementally most weekdays and does a full rebuild of the entire universe twice a week, and it’s a flat $250/month with no enterprise sales process, no custom quote, and no separate contract to negotiate: browse the Snowflake Marketplace listing and start querying. For the pipeline behind those numbers, see How Fund Returns Data Moves from source to Snowflake.

F.A.Q.

From each provider’s own Snowflake Marketplace listing where it was accessible, plus their public product pages and press releases. Where a specific detail (a price, a return period, a refresh cadence) wasn’t publicly documented, the cell is marked “Not published” rather than estimated.
It depends what you’re counting. CRSP covers the most individual mutual funds (64,000+, US-only, active and delisted). CFRA Research covers the most ETFs globally (19,000+, 98% global coverage). Fruit Stand covers 32,000+ US funds and ETFs combined with full computed trailing and calendar year returns on every one of them.
We can’t say for certain, none of the other providers publish a price, so there’s nothing to compare against directly. What we can say is that Fruit Stand is the only one on this list with a flat, public, self-serve price ($250/month): every other listing requires requesting access or a custom quote before you see a number.
Vendor offerings on Snowflake Marketplace change, new listings appear and existing ones add categories (as Morningstar’s Managed Investment Data is expected to).
